The village awarded contractor Nardulli Construction Company, Inc. the project to redo stretches of sidewalk around the village at a July 22 council meeting. . Nardulli Construction was one of six contractors to bid on the project to replace sidewalks and curbs around the village. The contractor bid $45,520 when Christopher B. Burke Engineering, the village engineer, estimated the project to cost $60,200. Burke Engineering also reviewed the bid documents.

The Lombard Police Department remains committed to keeping residents and motorists safe by enforcing a zero-tolerance policy on intoxicated driving. According to data compiled by the Alliance Against Intoxicated Motorists (AAIM), Lombard Police made 224 driving under the influence (DUI) arrests in 2023, resulting in the Department being ranked third in the state for DUI arrests based on department size and fifth overall in Illinois, with an average of 3.45 arrests per sworn officer.
