TYLER, Texas – Rodney Dewayne Fagans, a 39-year-old resident of Kilgore, has been sentenced to 188 months in federal prison for drug trafficking in the Eastern District of Texas, as announced by U.S. Attorney Damien M. Diggs.

Fagans pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and received his sentence from U.S. District Judge Jeremy D. Kernodle on May 22, 2024. Court documents revealed that Fagans, along with his co-conspirators, sold substantial quantities of methamphetamine in Gregg County on multiple occasions. Specifically, Fagans was identified as the supplier for three significant illegal drug transactions, totaling 598.72 grams of methamphetamine.

The investigation led to the apprehension and conviction of fifteen other individuals involved in the drug distribution network, all of whom have also pleaded guilty and received federal prison sentences. The concerted efforts of law enforcement agencies culminated in the successful dismantling of this drug trafficking ring, contributing to the ongoing battle against illegal narcotics in the region.
