Gulfport, Miss. – Jeremy Cyntel Turner, a 32-year-old resident of Picayune, was sentenced to 179 months in federal prison for his role in a methamphetamine trafficking conspiracy. Turner received his sentence on May 24, 2024, in the U.S. District Court in Gulfport.

The investigation, which began in 2015, targeted a large-scale drug trafficking organization based primarily in Picayune, Mississippi (Pearl River County). Turner was identified as a member of the conspiracy in 2018.

In 2020, the arrest of other co-conspirators provided agents with information leading to the discovery of a package of narcotics being delivered to a Picayune address.

The package, containing methamphetamine, was retrieved by Turner, who subsequently admitted his involvement in the conspiracy. Throughout the investigation, Turner was found to be responsible for the distribution of 124.7 kilograms of methamphetamine.

Turner pled guilty on June 21, 2023, to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, leading to his lengthy prison sentence.
