WILLIAMSPORT – Micia Best, a 45-year-old resident of Mount Carmel, has been sentenced to 15 years in federal prison followed by four years of supervised release for possession with intent to distribute over fifty grams of methamphetamine. The sentence was handed down by U.S. District Court Chief Judge Matthew W. Brann.

According to United States Attorney Gerard M. Karam, Best was found in possession of more than 350 grams of a substance containing methamphetamine. This charge stemmed from a broader investigation into drug trafficking in Northumberland County. Throughout the investigation, Best was identified as a key figure in distributing significant quantities of methamphetamine. Authorities emphasized that the sentence reflects the severity of the crime and serves as a warning to others involved in drug trafficking.
