PITTSBURGH, Pa. — On June 11, 2024, Anthony Cook, a 55-year-old resident of Chicago, Illinois, was sentenced in federal court to 46 months of incarceration followed by three years of supervised release for violating federal narcotics laws. This announcement came from United States Attorney Eric G. Olshan.

The sentence was imposed by United States District Judge Christy Criswell Wiegand. According to the information presented to the court, Cook was involved in the transportation and distribution of cocaine. He personally transported over five kilograms of cocaine from Chicago to the Western District of Pennsylvania. Once in Pennsylvania, he supplied the drugs to two local distributors.

This case highlights the ongoing efforts by law enforcement to combat drug trafficking and hold those responsible accountable. The conviction and sentencing of Cook serve as a warning to others involved in similar illegal activities.

The United States Attorney's Office remains committed to dismantling drug networks and ensuring the safety and well-being of communities affected by narcotics-related crimes.
