    Fleming Island Man Pleads Guilty to Cocaine Distribution

    Jacksonville, Florida – United States Attorney Roger B. Handberg announced that James Matthew Doyle (37), from Fleming Island, has pleaded guilty to distributing cocaine. Doyle could face a maximum penalty of 20 years in federal prison, with the sentencing date yet to be scheduled.

    According to the plea agreement, Doyle sold cocaine twice in January and February 2023 to a confidential informant working with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), as well as to an undercover agent.

    The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives conducted the investigation leading to Doyle's arrest and guilty plea. Assistant United States Attorney Brenna Falzetta is prosecuting the case.
