Zachary Honig, a CVS pharmacy employee on Long Island, NY, was arrested and charged with possessing dozens of fraudulent COVID-19 vaccination cards that he intended to spread to family and friends.

According to the Nassau County Police, Honig, 21, was arrested Tuesday in East Garden City after police discovered 62 vaccine cards, brass knuckles, and a controlled substance inside his vehicle.

Eight of the 62 cards had already been preloaded with information. The Long Island Press, Nassau County Police Commissioner Pat Ryder said at a news conference yesterday that Honig was accused of stealing them from his work at CVS.

"They were taken within the last couple of days, with the intent to share them with family members and friends, so that they could go into venues and possibly even use them at schools," said Nassau County Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder.

This crime must be taken very seriously because it is not only fraud, but it can also threaten other people's lives. Many people agree that most of the population still does not know the risks that COVID-19 implies, and they believe that it is just part of a government show.

New York City is offering a variety of benefits to get people vaccinated.

New York City is considering many options for encouraging New Yorkers, especially the young, to get vaccinated against COVID-19. That's why they've taken measures, including eliminating appointments and lowering eligibility requirements, as well as expanding the number of community immunization clinics.

Anyone who hasn't been vaccinated now is the time. And we want to make it easier, and we want it to be fun, and we want to give you some incentive. So today, we are announcing incentives that I think will really encourage some of the people who just haven't gotten used to the idea or have been waiting for the right time. This is the right time: free tickets,Mayor Bill de Blasio said Monday.

Governor Andrew Cuomo revealed one of the most innovative plans on Monday: delivering the vaccines at New York City subway stations and providing a free one-week unlimited MetroCard to everyone who supports the immunization.

Governor Andrew Cuomo also announced last week that those who get vaccinated at the New York Yankees and New York Mets stadiums the same day they go to a game would receive tickets to those games.

The city intends to have 5 million New Yorkers completely vaccinated by June, but with just 20 days left before the end of May, that estimate is currently at 3 million.
