Three armed thieves dressed as delivery guys broke into the house of an elderly couple in The Bronx (NYC), tied them up and threatened them with guns, then stole $100,000.

According to the NYPD, the suspects came on East 177th Street and Cross Bronx Expressway in Van Nest about 8:20 a.m. on June 7, and one of them said they had an assigned delivery for that house.

When a 61-year-old man answered the door, the intruders entered, one of them brandishing a weapon, and pushed him into a rear room with his wife.

While two of the suspects searched the home for valuables, the elder guy was tied up and both victims were threatened with a firearm. According to the security video, the trio took $100,000 in cash and left in a white SUV, As per the New York Post.

Both victims turned down medical help. It's unclear whether the burglars were aware of the large sums of money in the residence.

The residents of New York are astounded by the city's criminality.

Despite the rise of cultural weakness, the Democratic Party's progressive side is besieged on two fronts, each facing the same adversary: skeptics.

President Biden's so-called infrastructure package, the American Jobs Plan, is battling in Congress to gain support as a warm-up act for progressivism's main event: Senate Budget Chairman Bernie Sanders' $6 trillion spending spree for everything conceivable. Expecting the worst, people elected a Senate with a 50-50 split. The utopia of the American left is on hold...

Gun crime has increased dramatically in major urban areas, particularly in New York, the country's largest metropolis. According to New York Police Department statistics published by CNN, shooting occurrences increased 73 percent in May 2021 compared to the previous year when the COVID-19 epidemic fades and New York reopens.

According to a June 7 NY1/Ipsos poll, this is weighing on voters' thoughts (PDF). According to the study, crime is the top worry for 46 percent of respondents, ahead of affordable housing at 45 percent and COVID-19 at 32 percent.

Former New York Police Department captain and Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams has claimed that he is best-suited to combat growing crime rates, and voters appear to be listening.
