Reward for DeSoto County escapee increased; case draws attention of Dog the Bounty Hunter
The total reward for a DeSoto County inmate who escaped from custody has increased to $20,000 — and drawn attention from a nationally known bounty hunter. The initial reward from U.S. Marshals was set at $10,000 — that number has been matched by the DeSoto County District Attorney's office. DeSoto DA Matthew Barton said they're giving full support to the U.S. Marshals tracking the fugitive.

Fugitive wanted for murder who escaped courthouse has ties to CT, U.S. Marshals say
A fugitive charged with murder and attempted murder who recently escaped a courthouse in Mississippi has connections to Connecticut, officials say. In a news release, the U.S. Marshals Service said two of its task forces are looking for Joshua Zimmerman, a 30-year-old who has a warrant for his arrest in Harris County, Texas for murder, and a warrant for his arrest for escape in DeSoto County, Mississippi.
