Eminem Revisits His Childhood Home In Ominous 'Tobey' Visuals

Eminem revisits the ghost of his childhood home in the official music video for his new single "Tobey."

The Detroit native released the visuals for his latest track featuring Big Sean and BabyTron on Monday, July 8, several days after it was delayed. In the video directed by Cole Bennett, Em, Sean, and Tron join forces at a warehouse somewhere in the D while wearing matching, jungle-green jumpsuits. After Sean and Tron deliver their verses, Eminem posts up on the porch of his iconic house that once stood at 19946 Dresden Street between 7 and 8 Mile Road on the east side of Detroit.

Eminem spent most of his teenage years in the home his mother, Deborah Mathers, owned from 1992 to 2003. He used a photo of the boarded-up house as the cover of his 2000 album, The Marshall Mathers LP . In 2013, Em shot a commercial for his album The Marshall Mathers LP 2 where he walked past the infamous house for the final time. The home's second floor caught on fire two days after the album dropped. Eminem was offered a chance to submit a bid for the remainder of the home, but he did not respond. The house was demolished a few weeks later .

The "Tobey" video comes a few days before Eminem's new album The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce) drops. Prior to "Tobey," the 51-year-old shared the album's lead single "Houdini" along with a nostalgic music video. A tracklist has not been confirmed as of this report. However, Dr. Dre previously said he has a few production credits on the album. Look out for Eminem's new album on July 12.
