    14-year-old Detroit girl who went missing on 4th of July has been recovered, police say

    DETROIT (WWJ) -- Detroit Police say a 14-year-old girl who was reported missing on the Fourth of July has been recovered.

    Police said Dariona Stone left her home in the area of Joy and Evergreen, on the city’s far west side, without permission on July 4, 2024.

    On Tuesday the DPD said in an update that the teen has been recovered. They didn't say where she was found, and no further information was released.
