    Detroit teen who went missing after leaving grandmother’s house on July 4th has been recovered, police say

    DETROIT (WWJ) -- There's good news in the case of a teenage girl who disappeared on Detroit's west side on the Fourth of July.

    Detroit Police said Ariah Oliver, 14, left her grandmother’s house without asking on July 4, 2024, and failed to return. She was reported last seen on Bramwell, in the area of Schoolcraft and Outer Drive.

    On Tuesday, the Detroit Police Department sent an update stating that the missing teen was recovered. Police did not say where she was found, and no further information about the case was released.
