    1. Concert of Colors

    Detroit's largest and oldest free music festival returns this weekend! The Concert of Colors is a family-friendly event located indoors and outdoors at the Detroit Institute of Arts with performances across Midtown Detroit’s cultural institutions. The festival will feature live music, performances and art, plus forums on community issues and documentaries. Catch performances by Mokoomba, ETANA, Robert Jones, the Don Was Detroit All Star Revue and more.

    2. Farmington Founders Festival

    The annual Farmington Founders Festival returns this year for its 60th celebration of summer in Downtown Farmington. There will be a soft open for the beer tent and food court starting at 5 p.m. on Thursday, July 18. Then, the main festivities kick off on Friday at 10 a.m. with traditional events including the Crafters Market, Beer Tent with live music, Farmington Fido Fest, Touch A Truck, kids foam party, mobile gaming trailer and more!

    3. Detroit Festival of Books

    Bookworms, it’s time to gather at Eastern Market! The 7th Annual Detroit Festival of Books will feature vendors selling a wide variety of books — used, rare, antiquarian, unusual, ephemera, authors and beyond. Attendees can also shop a selection of vinyl records, comic books, creative arts, vintage board games and more! Entry is free, plus enjoy food, beer & DJ Seven Whales spinning funk music while you shop.

    4. Festa Italiana

    Festa Italiana is back this weekend at Freedom Hill County Park in Sterling Heights! This free, all-ages event celebrates Italian Heritage while featuring live music, delicious food, fireworks, and a whole lot of family fun. This year will feature both national and local entertainment, along with Italian wines & beer, a Friday Night Fireworks Spectacular, and a Family Fun Zone featuring bounce houses, a zip line, bocce courts, a rock-climbing wall and more! Enjoy the best Italian cuisine, vendors, and Italian wines and beer found in Metro Detroit.

    5. Ann Arbor Art Fair

    The largest juried art fair in the nation, the Ann Arbor Art Fair, is back this weekend with nearly 1,000 artists and a footprint spanning 30 city blocks in beautiful Downtown Ann Arbor. This three-day fair will feature art in a wide selection of styles and media, as well as live music on the fair’s three stages, culinary treats and an array of shops and sidewalk sales. It’s an Ann Arbor event you won’t want to miss!
