    Detroit police searching for 4 men after fatal west side shooting, canceled Amber Alert

    Detroit police are searching for four men after a fatal shooting that prompted an early morning Amber Alert for a missing 1-year-old child. The child has since been found safe, but DPD continues to search for the vehicle involved, authorities say .

    The Amber Alert was issued early Sunday morning after authorities say four unknown men in a gray Dodge Durango with a Michigan license plate EAD 187, shot and killed a man who was with a woman and toddler at approximately 10:09 p.m. Saturday night, police said.

    The suspects then took the child and fled the scene in the area of Compass and Littlefield on Detroit's westside, police said.

    Authorities are asking if anyone recognizes the vehicle or has any information to this incident to call the Detroit Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit at 313-596-2260, Crimes Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK UP or DetroitRewards.TV .
