The Detroit Lions have been taking care of their key players all offseason long, and that continued on Monday morning, with the team inking left tackle Taylor Decker to a contract extension .

According to Decker's agent , the deal is for three years and $60 million, with $31.83 million guaranteed. The annual average of Decker's extension ranks seventh among left tackles, per Over the Cap .

Decker is the fourth key player to receive an extension recently. Detroit also gave new deals to quarterback Jared Goff, wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown and right tackle Penei Sewell.

And it appears the Lions might not be done yet. While appearing on "Costa & Jansen with Heather" on Monday morning, Holmes hinted that defensive lineman Alim McNeill could be next.

When asked about Holmes' comment at practice, McNeill said he has told his agent to handle that without telling him what's going on so he can focus on the task at hand, which is getting ready for the 2024 campaign. Certainly a great approach.

A former third-round pick of the Lions in 2021, McNeill had a breakout year in 2023 and is entering the final year of his contract in 2024. He has been considered an extension candidate this offseason, but it wasn't clear if the Lions wanted to see another year of the level he play he displayed in 2023 before giving him one.

Perhaps McNeill will get the deal he's seeking sooner rather than later.
