DETROIT (WWJ) -- The Detroit Police Department says a 17-year-old girl who went missing more than four months ago has been found.

My’Ca Redes was reported to be last seen on Friday, March 8, 2024. After spending the weekend at a friend's house, police said she failed to return to her home on Detroit's west side.

The teen was reported missing by her family on May 13, and police put out a missing person's report.

On July 29, the DPD sent an update stating that Redes has been recovered.

Police did not say where she'd been all that time, and no further details were released.
