Amon-Ra St. Brown Delivers A Godly Fantasy Season In 2024

Amon-Ra St. Brown (ARSB) has been the poster boy for consistency at the Wide Receiver position. Last season, ARSB played 16 games. In 9 of those 16 games, he was a WR1 on the week in half-PPR formats. St. Brown had just ONE GAME where he finished outside of the top 36 Wide Receivers.

St. Brown’s consistency stems from his dominant target share in this offense. He finished with the 5th highest target share amongst Wide Receivers last year (30.2% per PlayerProfiler). He earned 164 targets in 2023 and had the 4th most targets in the Red Zone. His 24 Red Zone targets accounted for 53.3% of Detroit’s Red Zone pass attempts.

ARSB banked 6 of his 10 touchdowns last season in the Red Zone. This volume should continue for St. Brown as well, as the Lions ran the 2nd most plays per game, and Jared Goff had the second-most pass attempts of any Quarterback in the league last season.

The Lions also made no major additions to their skill position group. The coaching staff has been talking about Jameson Williams getting more snaps on the field than he’s seen in the past, but this will likely have little impact on ARSB as they have very different roles on this offense.

With Williams being a vertical threat, it could arguably open up some room for St. Brown to work the short to intermediate routes. Look for Amon-Ra St. Brown to have another strong year and be a consistent contributor for your fantasy squad in 2024.

Our consensus projections for St. Brown in the 2024 season would be: 129 receptions, 1553 yards, 10 touchdowns through the air and 4 carries for 36 yards and 1 rushing touchdown.
