Detroit Lions rookie cornerback Terrion Arnold may have had a "Welcome to the NFL" moment when he saw New York Giants left tackle Andrew Thomas coming at him.

During Monday's joint training camp practice between the the Giants and Lions at the Quest Diagnostics Training Center, the first-round cornerback found himself in a mismatch taking on a block from a pulling Thomas in space.

The sheer sound of the impact from the block was incredible as the 315-pound tackle was charging full speed at the 196-pound Arnold.

The rookie impressively took to the block on the chin — literally. Though he stayed on his feet, Arnold later left practice to be evaluated for a concussion.

Fortunately, Arnold cleared the league's concussion protocol so he avoided any injury.

The No. 24 overall pick from the 2024 NFL Draft is expected to be a starter on the outside opposite Carlton Davis III when the regular season begins.

The Giants and Lions have one more joint practice Tuesday morning before squaring off in the preseason opener Thursday night.
