14-year-old girl accuses Yavapai County man of sexually molesting her, police say
A Yavapai County man was facing multiple charges after a girl accused him of molesting her, according to police. Michael Craig Andrew, 46, of Chino Valley, was charged on suspicion of sexual abuse of a minor, molestation of a child, continuous sexual abuse of a child, voyeurism and public sexual indecency, according to police.

CHINO VALLEY, Ariz. — A Chino Valley man has been arrested after allegedly having sexual contact with a 14-year-old girl, according to the Chino Valley Police Department. Police received a tip from the Arizona Department of Child Safety on Friday, July 12 after the department received a call from a church camp in the area. Camp employees told officials a 14-year-old girl reported that a family friend had sexual contact with them, police said.

A Chino Valley man was arrested and charged with child sex crimes. Officials say the Arizona Department of Child Safety reported that the 14-year-old girl said she had been molested by a family friend. During another interview at the Yavapai Family Advocacy Center, the girl disclosed other instances of sexual contact with the suspect. 46-year-old Michael Andrew was arrested by Chino Valley Police.

Helicopter Crashes after Skid Falls Off
The pilot of a helicopter, that crashed this weekend at Cottonwood Airport, is being credited with saving the passengers on board. Cottonwood Fire officials say the pilot was able to hover near the ground long enough for the 3-passengers to jump out, prior to the crash. The helicopter lost a landing-skid over Sedona and conducted an emergency landing at Cottonwood Airport. The pilot then cut fuel to the helicopter just before the crash landing. What caused the skid to fall off the aircraft is under investigation.

YCSO's very own Deputy Do-Right was the honored guest at halftime of the NAZ Wranglers IFL football game in Prescott Valley July 13th, as the Wranglers wished Do-Right a happy birthday. The large crowd joined in the celebration by singing "Happy Birthday", and Wrangler mascot Whiskie presented his counterpart with a bag of Wranglers swag, including an autographed picture of QB Joshua Jones. Do-Right is always a crowd favorite at Wrangler games, mingling with the fans, getting pictures with the kids, and taking part in things like the opening coin toss and several halftime special events.

COTTONWOOD − Willcox’s 8-10 All-Star softball team finished fourth at its state tournament in Cottonwood, losing to Goodyear's All-Stars 6-1 on Saturday, July 13 after shutting out Safford’s Mount Graham All-Stars 17-0 on Friday, July 12 behind Callie Larson’s perfect game. It was her second perfect game of the state tournament, the first coming opening night against Prescott Valley.
