Marion Man Arrested for Waterloo Shooting
Waterloo Police have made an arrest in a shooting in Waterloo on Sunday, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. Neighbors called 911 around noon on Sunday on a report of shots fired. Police found a victim in the area of Sunnyside and West Mullan Avenue suffering from a gunshot wound to the knee. Surveillance video showed a GMC Envoy in the area at the time. That Envoy was traced back to 19 year old Daquavion Williams of Marion. The Violent Crime Apprehension Team took Williams into custody at his home on Tuesday. He has been charged with Willful Injury Causing Serious Injury and Intimidation With a Weapon.

IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) – A 2-day push is underway to help children battling illnesses at the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital. KHAK’s Radiothon for the Children’s Miracle Network runs Thursday and Friday. In the past 26 years, the Radiothon has raised more than $3.1 million to help support children and their families as they undergo treatments at UIHC. KHAK broadcasts live from the hospital speaking with doctors, patients and their families about the difference donations can make.
