Bring your VW down to DeWitt’s Main Street this Sunday

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — If you’re the groovy driver of one of those Beetles, Vanagons, Dune Buggies or the like, you should know about the Bug Love Cruise-In that’s happening on DeWitt’s Main Street this Sunday, July 28.

It’s an entire “Volkswagens Only” cruise-in party happening at TIN CUP Cafe & Creamery. Other cars are also welcome, organizers said–but the whole parking lot will be blocked off for the VWs.

There’s good reason to celebrate these iconic cars and the eras they represent, as many of them are out of production–Volkswagen halted production of its last Beetle model back in 2019.

Each Volkswagen car gets one free drink, and it’s happening from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

That’s not all–stay and enjoy live music, a “Best VW” contest,” tie-dye shirts, “hippie drinks” and more.

“Feel free to wear your best hippie outfit!” organizers said. You can just cruise in for a coffee, or you can stay and soak up the sun and the V-dub love all morning long.

TIN CUP Cafe & Creamery is at 121 E. Main Street in DeWitt.
