Lawsuit Accuses State Election Board With Meeting Illegally
A nonprofit nonpartisan watchdog group filed a lawsuit Friday charging the State Election Board with violating Georgia’s Open Meetings Act after meeting last week without legally required public notice or a quorum. Traffic stop and the charges that followed
Late at night Tuesday in rural southern Oconee, a deputy spotted a small car turn off SC 24/the West-Oak Highway and onto SC 59 without, he says, any tag lamps illuminating the license plate. The deputy followed the car which, eventually, turned into a driveway and was met by farm gate. The result of that traffic stop produced the following charges against Hartwell, Georgia resident Chantel Grace Price.
