Headliners look forward to weekend comedy fest
MURRAY – The headliners for this weekend’s Kentucky Comedy Festival have nearly 70 years combined experience in making audiences laugh. The Kentucky Comedy Festival will be inside the auditorium of Murray State University’s Wrather Hall at 7 p.m. Friday and 4 p.m. Saturday. Several comedians are on the bill, but Saturday’s headlining act is Jeff Allen and Friday’s is Mike Armstrong.
UC Driver Injured In Rollover On Purchase Parkway
Graves County, Ky.–A Union City man was injured in a rollover accident on the Purchase Parkway early this morning. According to the Graves County Sheriff’s Office, at approximately 5:45 AM, Kentucky State Police Post 1 Dispatch received a call of an injury collision near the 9 Mile Marker of the Purchase Parkway.
Calloway names Kramer new head softball coach
MURRAY — Calloway County High School has hired Jeri Kramer as its next head softball coach. Kramer replaces Kady Arant after six seasons at the helm. Kramer has been an assistant coach with Laker softball for the past three seasons. She has also been the head softball coach and assistant coach for the Laker middle school softball teams. Kramer has been a teacher in the district for 28 years.
