Abby Tamer , a 21-year-old field hockey player from Dexter, Michigan, is set to represent the United States at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. Born into an athletic family, Tamer's father played college hockey at the University of Michigan and had an 11-year professional career, while her mother was the team captain of the Wolverine Hockey Team.

Tamer first made a name for herself at Dexter High School, where she led the school to back-to-back state titles and was twice named Michigan High School Player of the Year. Her talent on the field caught the attention of the University of Michigan, where she is currently enrolled and set to graduate in 2025.

According to WILX , Tamer scored the winning goal against Japan, securing Team USA's qualification for the Paris Olympics. Now, she is hoping to bring home an Olympic medal.
