Boaters asked to avoid portion of Huron River after discovery of raw sewage
ANN ARBOR, MI -- Boaters have been asked to remain upstream of South Pond on the Huron River after raw sewage was discovered near an Ann Arbor school. Roughly 75 gallons of raw sewage reached a storm drain near Pittsfield Elementary School, 2543 Pittsfield Blvd. in Ann Arbor, according to a release from the city of Ann Arbor. City officials were notified of dried sewage and debris at a city-owned manhole behind the school in the early afternoon of Wednesday, July 3.
