Private Donations Helped Make Brighton Township Park Possible
A new park that opened last month in Brighton Township was made possible, in part, via generous donations from local residents. The park is located at 5330 Old US-23 and boasts a range of amenities that are aimed at providing a space for reflection, recreation, and inclusivity. It features an Armed Forces Tribute Area, an inclusive playground, picnic shelters, a half-court basketball area, a War Dog Memorial, and a dog run.

18-year-old facing charges in Mt. Morris Township shooting that left teen dead
MT. MORRIS TOWNSHIP, MI – A teenager is facing an attempted murder charge and two weapons charges for his alleged involvement in a June 25 shooting in Mt. Morris Township. Cordell Warwick Allen, 18, was arraigned by Genesee County District Court Judge Jennifer Manley this week on single counts of assault with intent to murder, felony firearm and carrying a concealed weapon.
