Flynn Fire burns near Altamont Pass east of Livermore sparked by car fire
A car fire Thursday night along Interstate Highway 580 quickly spread to several hundred acres near the Altamont Pass east of Livermore, fire officials said.A driver reported their vehicle was on fire at about 9:45 p.m. on the side of the freeway just east of the Altamont Pass near North Flynn Road.As of 7:50 a.m. Friday, the Flynn Fire had spread to 500 aces and was 70% contained, Cal Fire said."Weather and terrain continued to impact containment efforts but firefighters worked diligently and were able to stop forward progress," Cal Fire said on a social media post. The Alameda County Fire Department was the lead agency on the fire, in unified command with Cal Fire battling the blaze. There have been no reports of injuries or damage to structures.

Police Arrest Three Males Suspected In April Armed Robbery
San Jose police arrested three people last week they believe robbed a man selling something to an online customer. At 10:32 p.m. April 29, officers responded to an armed robbery report in the 800 block of Gateview Drive. The victim was completing an online marketplace sale with an unknown male suspect.
