Ravenna SE unleashed a high-powered offensive show to knock off Vienna Mathews 41-6 Friday for an Ohio high school football victory on Aug. 30. The first quarter gave Ravenna SE an 8-0 lead over Vienna Mathews. Defense ruled the second quarter as the Pirates and the Mustangs were both scoreless.
SOUTHEAST SOARS IN THE SECOND HALF TO SECURE FIRST WIN
RAVENNA, OH—The Southeast Pirates claimed their first win of the season in their debut on YSN, defeating The Mathews Mustangs 41-6 on Friday night. The game began as a tight contest, with the Pirates taking an early lead in the first quarter thanks to an 83-yard touchdown run by Bryer Pickana and a successful two-point conversion pass from Joe Sharish to Jack Muldowney. The Mustangs responded in the second quarter with a 38-yard rushing touchdown by quarterback Caden Brubaker, but a failed two-point attempt left Southeast ahead 8-6 at halftime.

A woman convicted for her part in a multi-million-dollar healthcare fraud conspiracy in 2020 started the holiday weekend in jail.
