Local Rescue Shares Dog Who Has Been Looking For Love The Longest

Sandy Paws Rescue Inc., a dedicated foster-based rescue in Massachusetts, has shared that one of the dogs currently waiting for a home has been with them the longest in the history of the dog rescue. Egypt, who is around 4 to 5 years old and weighs about 50lbs, has been waiting since April for her forever home. "She has so much love to give the right person or people, and has come so far with her training," explains the nonprofit animal rescue. "She warms up quickly to take treats from new people within a few minutes. To truly relax and bond with people can take a few weeks. Once she does, she’s yours for life! She will be someone’s soul dog!"

Egypt is described as being very smart, affectionate, and snuggly. Sandy Paws Rescue explains she "loves people so deeply once she gets fully comfortable with them." Egypt's adoption fee has been waived so that her adopter can invest that money instead into continuing her training. "She is doing so well with her experienced foster family right now, and we would love to see her be just as successful with an experienced adopter!"

Sandy Paws Rescue notes that Egypt will need to be the only pet in the home as she is still learning how to coexist with other dogs, and has too strong of a prey drive to be around cats. When it comes to taking walks though, Egypt is fine seeing other dogs while out and about.

Potential adopters will be happy to know that Egypt is fully prepared for her new home. Sandy Paws Rescue states that Egypt is "housebroken, crate trained, has excellent recall and knows several commands already. She loves belly rubs, treats and bones. She is very smart and very food motivated!" Egypt is up to date with her vaccines and is spayed. Now all Egypt needs is a family willing to take a chance on her and give her the forever home she deserves.

Sandy Paws Rescue Inc. requires that anyone interested in adopting must submit an application to them. As a foster-based rescue based in Massachusetts, they don’t have a shelter location, and visits with dogs are by appointment only. Their dogs reside in private homes or kennels until adoption.
