    As leaves begin to fall and the weather gets colder, it's hard to deny that autumn in Massachusetts is officially here. Along with the changing season comes unique fall festivals and special events, perfect for creating memorable experiences with friends or family. Whether you're a foodie or a savvy shopper or the kids love hayrides and petting zoos, there's sure to be something happening this weekend that you'll enjoy.

    Autumn Craft Fair in Hanson

    If you're looking for a way to get a headstart on your holiday shopping while supporting local artisans and small business owners, look no further than the upcoming Autumn Fair being hosted by the East Bridgewater Christmas Parade Committee.

    This evening of fun will include over twenty-five local vendors and crafters. According to the event organizers, all proceeds from the Autumn Fair will be donated to this year's East Bridgewater Christmas Parade, helping support a joyful tradition that all generations of the local community look forward to during the holiday season. In addition to many vendors all in one place and being able to support your local community while getting your holiday wishlist items checked off, there will also be a raffle, giving you the chance to win a gift basket to keep for yourself to gift to someone else.

    Night of a Thousand Faces in Weymouth

    You're invited to a festive evening of family-friendly Halloween fun that also does good for your local community! The New England Wildlife Center in Weymouth has announced their annual Night Of a Thousand Faces is returning for another year of spooky delight! For two nights, Friday, October 25th, and Saturday, October 26th, the nonprofit's nature trail will be lit up by hundreds of pumpkin eyes glittering in the blackness of the night.

    "Our nature trail will come alive with 1,000 lit-up pumpkins, each carved into masterpieces!" Explains The New England Wildlife Center. "Along with tasty treats, hospital tours, and animal presentations - this is an event you won't want to miss!"

    The New England Wildlife Center runs two non-profit wildlife veterinary hospitals and education centers located in Massachusetts. They treat sick, injured, and orphaned wildlife. Events such as their Annual Night Of a Thousand Faces help them raise money to continue doing the great work they do for our community's wildlife.

    Trunk-or-Treat & Outdoor Movie in Taunton

    The City of Taunton's Park and Recreation Department has announced an evening of family-friendly Halloween fun. Taking place on the Taunton Green, the festivities will start with trunk-or-treating. The City of Taunton's Park and Recreation Department encourages everyone to dress up in a costume for this free-to-attend event.

    Throughout the event there will be music by the Toe Jam Puppet Band, giving younger members of the family some live entertainment to enjoy. After trunk-or-treating there will be an outdoor family-friendly Halloween movie. The City of Taunton's Park and Recreation Department has not yet announced which movie will be shown.

    Doggie Halloween Costume Contest in Marshfield

    Calling all pup parents! The Friends of the Marshfield Dog Park has announced the return of their Doggie Halloween Costume Contest. This festive pet event is now in its 5th year of raising funds for the local dog park while dog owners and their furry friends have Halloween fun together!

    The Friends of the Marshfield Dog Park is a non-profit 501(c) all-volunteer organization that is on a mission to raise funds to privately maintain the new park, which is located off Proprietors Drive. The nonprofit explains that the proceeds raised will be used to help pay for pet waste supplies and removal services to keep the park clean and safe.

    Fall Festival in Halifax

    You're invited to enjoy a fun local fall festival that is perfect for the entire family! The Halifax MA Farmers Market has announced they'll be hosting an upcoming Fall Festival, which will feature many kid-friendly activities. From games and attractions for the younger members of the family to tasty food trucks for the adults to enjoy, this family-friendly Fall Festival is the perfect way to spend an autumn day! Activities will include:

    Halloween Spooktacula in Hanover

    Starland in Hanover, known for its sportsplex and fun park, has announced they're hosting a Halloween Spooktacular Celebration. Perfect for all the younger members of the family, this Halloween event invites everyone to wear their favorite costumes and join them for a dance party, trick or treating, arts & crafts, and much more. Plus, for the youngest children, there will be a toddler-friendly designated inflatables area.
