Vitalant hosts blood drive in Dickinson

DICKINSON, ND ( KXNET ) — Vitalant is asking all eligible blood donors to prevent a summer shortage, and one city is hosting its annual blood drive.

According to a news release, the Cody Kadrmas Memorial Blood Drive is taking place in Dickinson.

All blood types are needed, especially type O, which is the most transfused blood type. O-negative helps any patient in an emergency, while O-positive helps any patient with a positive blood type.

You can donate blood on Thursday, July 11, and Friday, July 12 from 12-6 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Building.
