Williston North Dakota Dance Studio Shines At National Competition
It's always fun to showcase our area. It's even better to acknowledge accomplishments when a local group or organization competes on a national stage. Studio 89 Dance Company has once again demonstrated its exceptional talent and dedication with an impressive performance at the National Competition in Duluth, Minnesota. Competing in the Shining Star (Advanced) division, our dancers showcased their hard work and passion, earning top honors across multiple categories. Here’s a look at the remarkable achievements and highlights from this year’s competition.
New-Look City Council Debates Potential Land Purchase
A fresh look City Council took the dais Monday evening, the first of July, with three new members being sworn in. Outgoing City Councilmembers Stephan Podrygula, Scott Burlingame, and Carrie Evans were replaced with the newly elected members Mike Blessum, Rob Fuller, and Scott Samuelson in a special session taking place immediately before the regular session. This included Mark Jantzer being elected as President and Lisa Olson elected Vice President of the city council.

FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) - One person is dead and three people are hurt after a two-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle and a car in south Fargo Thursday night. Man found dead in Red River in Fargo
FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) - Fargo Police say a man was found dead in the Red River in north Fargo Thursday night. Authorities from Fargo and Moorhead responded to the scene near the 1400 block of Elm St. N. around 9:45 p.m. on Thursday July 4 after they say a passer-by called 911 to report a person in the water.
Osgood Elementary Administrator Cleared to Return to Work
A West Fargo area elementary school administrator is returning to his job after an investigation into physical altercations with students. Osgood Elementary Assistant Principal Joshua Dahl was placed on administrative leave after accusations of touching and aggressive grabbing of students. The West Fargo School District and state authorities performed an investigation. The report released this week says they found those accusations mostly valid and that Dahl violated policy, but that no abuse or negligence towards students was committed. In one incident, Dahl bruised a student who the district says was biting and punching him. The report also notes many students, faculty, and staff who are opposed to Dahl’s actions. He will be placed on an improvement plan and will return to Osgood Elementary this fall.
