Suspect arrested near Houston for vehicle burglary and weapon charge
HOUSTON, Texas — A 17-year-old from Tavola has been arrested on charges of vehicle burglary and unlawful carrying of a weapon. Elmilvio Kamari Harris, 17, of Tavola, was apprehended after a resident found him inside their vehicle and detained him until Roman Forest Police Department officers arrived, according to a press release from the department. Officers Rawlinson and Rippe responded swiftly, taking Harris into custody and initiating an investigation. Additional suspects have been identified, and the case remains ongoing. Harris faces charges of Burglary of a Vehicle and Unlawful Carrying a Weapon, both Class A Misdemeanors, with other charges pending.
