Dickson City I-81 ramp detour placed

DICKSON CITY, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A temporary detour is being placed from the northbound Interstate 81 ramp in Dickson City on Tuesday.

PennDOT states there will be a temporary detour from the I-81 northbound ramp to Main Avenue in Dickson City for milling, filling, and line painting.

The detour will take place Tuesday, July 9 from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

Detour from  Interstate 81 northbound to Main Avenue:

• Pass Exit 190 (Dickson City/Main Avenue) and head northbound toward Exit 191B (Scranton Expressway)
• Exit right onto 191B (Scranton Expressway) toward Scranton Carbondale Highway
• Stay in right lane on Scranton Carbondale Highway
• Exit right toward Interstate 81 southbound and Route 6 east.
• Follow Interstate 81 to exit 190 (Dickson City/Main Avenue) to gain access to Main Avenue
