OBITUARY: Patricia Ann Myatt Upchurch

Patricia Ann Myatt Upchurch, age 80, of Dickson, TN passed away on August 13, 2024.

Patricia or “Miss Pat” to those closest to her was born at the Jackson Clinic in Dickson County, TN on March 22, 1944, to the late Elbert L. Myatt and Mildred Chappell Myatt.

“Miss Pat” was retired from the Dickson County Board of Education, spending 36 years at Oakmont Elementary School. She had also worked at K-Mart for over 15 years. Ms. Pat loved listening to Elvis and John Denver and had a passion for hummingbirds. She was a member of Freedom Baptist Church in Dickson, TN. She developed many friendships over the years and will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son; Jerry Upchurch, sister; Frances Allsup, grandparents Herman H. Chappell and Verda Cochran Chappell, Jodie D. Myatt and Theadocia Yates Myatt.

Ms. Pat is survived by her daughters; Debby Upchurch of Dickson, TN, Dawn Upchurch of Hickman Co., her brother; Phillip R. Myatt of Waverly, TN, grandchildren; Jessica Kerski (James), J.T. Upchurch, Cody Fiscus, Kaylon Fiscus West (Laura) Mason Fielder of Dickson, TN, great-grandchildren; Kye Kerski, Katy Litton, Brooke West, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 18, 2024, at 2 PM from the chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home. Bro. Dennie Boren will officiate. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024, from 4 PM until 8 PM and on Sunday at 1 PM until the time of service. Burial will follow in the Union Cemetery. https://taylorsince1909.com
