Linda Jean Davenport Parker was born October 26, 1950 in Detroit Michigan as the oldest of 4 children to William Stanford Davenport & Barbara Jean Richardson. Linda went to be with THE LORD JESUS at 1:35 PM on August 15, 2024, at age 73.

Linda devoted her life to her family & leaves a legacy of unconditional LOVE! Despite having a lifetime of trials & medical issues, Linda’s love for her Husband of 51 years Bobby, her children (Rodney, Jackie & Jill), her grandchildren & great-grandchildren (& everyone else’s) filled her heart with Joy!!

We are all so grateful for her never ending love & wisdom to lead her children to know Jesus Christ!

Linda had an exuberant energy who loved the outdoors as a farmer, animal lover, softball player/coach, concert goer, bird watcher, & hunting arrowheads which she did exceptionally! She spent her indoor time embroidering, reading her many History books, playing with her cats & watching her many, many “shows” on TV.

Linda worked alongside her husband Bobby as a Farmer, Post-Master Substitute & Co-Owner of B.O. Parker Trucking. She enjoyed several years working for The Leaf Chronicle Newspaper. Her final job was being the Archivists for Dickson County, a position she enjoyed so much until her retirement. Linda had a passion for History & Loved being the Archivists as much as she did her family & that is A LOT!!

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Bobby Owen Parker.

Survivors include her son; Rodney O. Parker (Jennifer), daughters; Jackie Parker Latson (Shane), Jill Elaina Sher, brothers; Michael Davenport (Pat), Danny Davenport (Beth), Pat Davenport, grandchildren; Lucas Owen Parker, Daniel Cole Parker, Dylan James Pitts, Alexis Dawn Zellers (Adam), Haley Kay Latson, Jenna Grace Parker, Addison Lane Sher, great-grandchildren; Levi James Parker, Riley Owen Nolen, Charli Louise Parker, Josi Lucille Parker, Ryman Claire Zellers.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday afternoon, August 18, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. from the chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home. Rodney Parker and Chris Cornell will officiate. Place of rest will be in the Waynick Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday beginning at 12 Noon until time of service. https://taylorsince1909.com
