Evelyn Ray Kerby, born November 22, 1950, in Nashville, Tennessee, was a beacon of love and support to all who knew her. She passed away on July 20, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and a life well-lived. Combining the southern charm and the welcoming spirit of her Dickson, Tennessee home, Evelyn was known for her warm heart, engaging personality, and the joy she found in making others feel loved and cherished.

As a Senior Account Manager in the insurance industry before her retirement, Evelyn showcased her supportive nature both professionally and personally. She championed her team, stood by her clients, and was known for her knack for making people feel at ease, even in the most difficult situations. Her colleagues remember her not just for her professional competence, but for her genuine concern and care for others.

Evelyn’s love extended far beyond the realms of her workplace. She was a loving wife, a doting mother, and an adored daughter of the late Ray and Edith Overton, and a cherished friend to many. Evelyn and Jesse shared a love of adventure, often seen riding their motorcycle together. They loved the beach, the sand, and the sun, and their shared memories of these escapades were among their most treasured.

Evelyn was also known for her culinary skills and her love for good company. She was an excellent cook, often making meals that were as much a feast for the heart as they were for the stomach. Her kitchen was always filled with laughter, love, and the aroma of her delicious dishes. Evelyn was a core member of the ‘Celtic Sisters,’ a close-knit group of friends who frequently enjoyed dinners and gatherings, their bond echoing the strength and spirit of their sisterhood.

She will be laid to rest at a later date in the Czar Cemetery in Viburnum, MO next to her mother-in-law and father-in-law whom she loved dearly.
