Michigan Lottery: Man wins $300K on scratch off ticket game
A Lake County man said winning a $300,000 Top Secret Cashword instant game prize is “the best feeling in the world!”. The lucky 80-year-old player, who chose to remain anonymous, bought his winning ticket at Wolf Lake Store, located at 1254 North M-37 in Baldwin. Baldwin is about 30 miles east of Ludington.
Fishing Report from the DNR
Windy weather limited boating activity this past week. However, on days anglers were able to make it out, Chinook salmon of all sizes, coho salmon, lake trout and steelhead were caught straight out from town and to the south in 150 to 200 feet of water when fishing 50 to 80 feet down. Spoons, flasher/fly combinations, and meat rigs all worked well. On the pier, freshwater drum, bowfin and smallmouth bass were being caught with live bait and lures. On the lake side, steelhead action slowed down following the winds.

US 10 construction between Scottville and Custer to begin Monday
CUSTER TOWNSHIP — The Michigan Department of Transportation has announced that it will begin a $500,000 chip sealing road construction project on US 10 between the eastern city limit of Scottville and the western village limit of Custer beginning Monday, July 8. M-55 resurfacing east of Cadillac starts July 8
TRAVERSE CITY – The Michigan Department of Transportation on Monday said it will begin a $3 million resurfacing project on M-55 on July 8. MDOT said it will resurface 8.1 miles of M-55 from the Cadillac city limit in Wexford County to M-66 in Missaukee County. The project will begin July 8 with a target completion date of Sept. 13. The work will require single-lane closures, with one lane of alternating traffic controlled by traffic regulators, MDOT said. The US-131 ramps will be closed while crews are working at the interchange.
