MANISTEE — When it comes right down to it, the Manistee National Forest Festival is really several celebrations all rolled into one. The festival is a celebration of the rich heritage and history Manistee has with the forests and lumber industry that played a major role in creating this community. The second celebration commemorates Independence Day on July 4 and the creation of the United States in 1776.
Canton man arraigned on several gun charges after Brethren incident

Kiwanis donates to Love INC

Forest Festival Kickoff Party slated at Wagoner Community Center
MANISTEE — A crowd of around 250 adults are expected to fill the Wagoner Community Center between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on July 3 for its annual Forest Festival Kickoff Party.
