EST Gee’s Manager Shot and Killed in Car Following Rapper’s Hometown Louisville Performance – Report
EST Gee's manager was reportedly shot and killed in his car following the rapper's hometown show in Louisville, Ky. On Monday (July 22), local Louisville news station WLKY reported that 31-year-old Devontae Beach had been found shot multiple times inside a car in downtown Louisville early on Sunday morning (July 21). Other outlets including TMZ reported that Beach was EST Gee's current manager, and went by EST Big Beach. The shooting occurred in the 800 block of West Main Street, with EMS pronouncing Beach dead at the scene. There are no suspects at this time.
Friday July 26th Afternoon Book Signing at Public Library to Focus on Historic Danville Softball Team
A look back on a special Danville softball team will happen this Friday (July 26th) when author Phyllis Smith will be at the Danville Public Library for an afternoon book signing. Smith’s book “Black Diamond, Black Gold; the Danville Lady Tomahawks” will look at a team of African American young ladies that her father, Wilbur Atkinson, created in the early 60s over at Lincoln Park. They immediately set up shop at Carver Park, where a field now sits named after Wilber Atkinson.

(May 20, 2024) – Boater Jeffrey Lee of Olney, Illinois, caught a five-bass limit weighing 13 pounds, 4 ounces, Saturday to win the MLF Phoenix Bass Fishing League (BFL) Presented by T-H Marine on Lake Shelbyville . Illinois Basketball: Tomislav Ivisic Arrives on Campus
Illinois basketball’s roster has now fully arrived on campus. Per his Instagram page, big man Tomislav Ivisic has officially arrived at the Illinois campus. After an extended wait with the entire process that is required for an overseas citizen to arrive at a college campus, Ivisic completes the Illini’s roster. (SPRINGFIELD) Governor J.B. Pritzker signed 68 more bills into law this past Friday. One of the four measures that take effect January 1st, 2025, is House Bill 5457 prevents professional license denial or disciplinary action against someone based solely on immigration status or an immigration violation. House Bill 5465 allows human trafficking victims, who were children at the time of the crime, to have their juvenile records expunged or sealed of any criminal acts they were forced to take part in while being abused. House Bill 5370 expands the state’s “Move Over Law” requiring drivers to reduce their speed in & around emergency crash scenes. House Bill 5238 requires newly built manufactured homes to have weather radios installed, plus also promotes regular maintenance of safety devices in mobile home communities.
