(WHTM) — Monday’s hometown heroes fulfilled a fundraising promise Monday.

Greystone Brew House in Dillsburg gave a check for $70,000 to Veterans Outreach of Pennsylvania. Greystone raised the money this past spring during it’s Kentucky Derby Day event.

The money will go to Veterans Grove, the 15 tiny homes Veterans Outreach built near Harrisburg to shelter homeless vets and get them back on their feet.

“It’s about helping our veterans,” chairman and co-founder of Veterans Outreach of Pennsylvania Tim Zimmerman said. “And helping those veterans that really need a hand up and we’re all coming together as a community and we’re putting all our differences aside and helping those veterans that allowed to enjoy the great freedom we have here.”

Veterans began moving into the Tiny Home Village three weeks ago.
