Ribbon cutting opens new Goochland elementary school
GOOCHLAND, Va. (WWBT) - The new Goochland Elementary School has officially welcomed students, families, and community members. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on Thursday, July 18, filled with community members and school leaders, including current and former school board members, the board of supervisors, and Goochland Elementary School Principal Tina McCay.
Vegan Block Party In Richmond To Celebrate The 'Soul In Plant-Based Eating'
Scheduled to return on September 7, Richmond’s Soul Vegan Block Party will warmly welcome all types of foodies for a celebration of plant-based dining. The free vegan food fest aims to challenge the stigma “that there’s no SOUL in plant-based eating.” Its website states that its goal is to make living “a healthy and ethically conscious plant-based lifestyle” more widespread. The block party will have tons of vegan delights to try, live music, cooking demonstrations, and guest speakers.
