Unsettled & Warm Through the Weekend
FRIDAY EVENING - SATURDAY: High temperatures today have been in the 80s along with a mix of sunshine and clouds. Chances for isolated showers and storms will continue through the evening. If you have plans outdoors tonight, just keep an eye on the VNL weather app to see if a storm is headed toward you. The warmer temperatures stick around through the weekend! Saturday starts off with lows in the low to mid 60s but we warm up into the mid and upper 80s along with mostly sunny conditions and light winds. By the afternoon and into the evening, scattered showers and storms pop-up once again. There are plenty of events across the region to enjoy over the weekend! RedHawks baseball, the Downtown Fargo Street Fair, Bash on the Beach in Detroit Lakes, and various Farmer’s markets just to name a few. Enjoy the mild conditions and sunshine, but be prepared for a passing shower/storm. Another factor we will be watching throughout the weekend is wildfire smoke. Throughout the day on Saturday, a bit more of the haze that has been mostly aloft has the chance to mix down to the surface and bring more changes to air quality across the region.
