KAYSVILLE, Utah — A Kaysville family is grieving after a father was killed and a son seriously injured while on a trip in Canada. A head-on car crash in Nova Scotia, last Saturday claimed the life of a Kaysville man and two Canadian teenagers. Nick Gruniger said his father and brother were on a golfing trip in with some friends.

TOOELE, Utah — Multiple Tooele power outages have residents complaining. However, Rocky Mountain Power says there’s a good reason behind them. The power outages have been on purpose according to Jona Whitesides of Rocky Mountain Power. It’s part of an effort to harden the power lines by wrapping the poles with flame resistant fabric, replacing wooden poles with steel towers and powering down lines when weather or wildfire threats are detected.

Lightning storm causes several fires in Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests
KAMIAH, Idaho – A large lightning storm in northern Idaho started 12 fires across the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests on Wednesday. According to the US Forest Service, the fires have drawn firefighters from four different fire districts, and crews are still looking for additional fires. While no structures are threatened, air quality has decreased throughout the forest system.
