Parent Calls for Teen to Face Police: Auto Theft, Eluding, Reckless Driving and Other Charges
VALDOSTA, LOWNDES COUNTY, Georgia – A 14-year-old male teen was brought to the Valdosta Police Department (VPD) station by his parent on Thursday, July 18th. Earlier that day, the VPD had contacted the vehicle owner regarding the questionable use of their vehicle. The vehicle owner confirmed that no one had permission to drive the car. The VPD officer was able to identify the teen as the driver of the car much earlier that morning and arrested the teen.

The Valdosta Fire Department (VFD) is excited to announce that registration is now open for the 2024 Citizens Fire Academy, a unique program designed to educate and engage the community with the inner workings of the VFD.
