Save the Date: East Wenatchee Police Host National Night Out Party
East Wenatchee Police Department is hosting National Night out on Wednesday, July 31st and nearly every local 1st responder agency in the area is participating. National Night Out is a free community gathering organized for families to meet local officers and first responders in a fun setting. There will be lot's of equipment and emergency apparatus from different agencies on display so kid's can get an up close look and ask questions about what they are seeing. A highlight will be the arrival and landing of the Chelan County Sheriff's helicopter.
Sheriff's Deputies Capture Suspect After Intense Manhunt Near Moses Lake
MOSES LAKE - A 24-hour manhunt came to an end today as Sheriff's Deputies apprehended a man who had evaded capture since Monday morning. The suspect was located by a property owner around 11 a.m. hiding in a shop in the zero block of Road R-SE near Moses Lake, just south of Baseline in the southeast quadrant of the county, approximately 18 miles east of Division. According to the property owner, it appeared the man had been hiding there throughout the night.
