New fire in Columbia River Gorge prompts urgent evacuations near Mosier
MOSIER, Ore. (KATU) — A new fire broke out Monday afternoon near Mosier, in the Columbia River Gorge, and is called the Microwave Tower Fire. As of 10 p.m., the Wasco County Sheriff's Office had issued Level 3 – Go Now – evacuation orders from Highway 30 south the Proctor Road, east to Huskey Road and the border of the city of Mosier and west to the Hood River County line.
