BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - Another hot and humid day on tap for our Wednesday. We’ll see a mix of sun and clouds today with scattered showers and thunderstorms possible this afternoon and evening as a cold front approaches. Thunderstorms could produce heavy rainfall and gusty winds. Temperatures top off near or a bit above 80° along the coast and mid-80s to possibly some low 90s inland. With dew points expected to be in the upper 60s to low 70s... heat index values are expected to reach the mid to possibly upper 90s away from the coast so our FIRST ALERT remains in effect for today due to the extreme heat.

BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - Rain and even a few thunderstorms continue to push into parts of central Maine this evening. The storms will continue to weaken but could still produce heavy rainfall and gusty winds. It will take some time for the rain to move into the Bangor region and eastern spots. It should be closer to midnight by the time this happens. Lows overnight will remain in the 60s and low 70s and it will continue to be humid.
