Let's break it down. We spent billions to train and EQUIP the Afghans. That included tanks, trucks, guns, ammunitions and other materials. The last administration and the Pentagon assured us that the government of Afghanistan could keep up the fight for at least 6 months. Reality they barely fought for 6 days We negotiated with the Taliban ( yup with terrorists)to release approximately 5000 Taliban prisoners. and to close all but one airport. Following me so far? So that first gave them a fighting force increase and only one airport to attack. ( yup we were that dumb) And who you may ask did this negotiation? DJT are his initials. He boasted he had tied the hands of Biden to change anything in the troop withdrawal agreement with the Taliban and the Afgan government. So when they say we didn't leave any US equipment there it is true. We simply turned it over to the Afgan army so it was theirs.
