One of the ways in which Surry Community College is observing Black History Month is through the presentation of student poster projects designed to educate others about important events in Black History.

Students in SCC’s Public Speaking class, taught by SCC Communication Instructor Emily Workman, have created special poster projects related to Black History Month. These will be on display in the central area of SCC’s Dobson campus for students, staff, and faculty, as well as the public, to view on Feb. 7-8, between 10 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. each day. The posters highlight people, places, and events important to Black History.

If you’d like to learn more about this special display, contact Emily Workman at workmane@surry.edu or (336) 386-3318.
